Neighborhood Improvement Project City of Miami Beach, FL
David Mancini & Sons, Inc. (DMSI) successfully delivered a comprehensive Neighborhood Improvement Project for the City of Miami Beach, addressing identical geological and logistical conditions as the proposed 54-inch Redundant Sewer Force Main on Euclid Avenue. The project demanded meticulous coordination, complex utility work, and the highest standards of safety and quality in a high-traffic urban environment.
- 10,800 linear feet of 8-inch water main
- Over 150 new water service connections
- Complete rewiring of the street lighting system
Drainage and Stormwater Improvements
The project featured an extensive stormwater collection and disposal system, including:
215 new drainage structures
9,578 linear feet of 15”–24” drainage piping
Seven (7) outfalls to the bay
Each outfall required muck removal and environmental precautions to protect surrounding waterways. These upgrades significantly improved local flood control, runoff management, and long-term drainage performance within the neighborhood.
Concrete, Roadway & Site Restoration
The DMSI team restored the project area to City of Miami Beach standards with exceptional craftsmanship and aesthetic integration:
Over 130 custom driveways harmonized with existing materials, including marble slab, concrete, and asphalt
20,000 linear feet of valley gutter installation
23,000 square yards of full roadway reconstruction
Every surface was carefully restored to blend seamlessly into the residential streetscape, ensuring both function and form were fully preserved.
Excavation & Dewatering
Pipe and structure excavation depths ranged between 5 to 12 feet. Due to challenging subsurface conditions, dewatering systems using high-capacity pumps were utilized throughout the project to maintain stability and ensure safe working conditions.
