David Mancini & Sons Inc. has completed a long list of underground projects within an urban environment throughout South Florida that include the installation of transmission water mains, transmission force mains, sanitary sewers, storm sewers, pump stations, jack and bores, micro tunnels, directional drills, roadways, sub-aqueous crossings, and neighborhood improvement projects over the past three decades.

When David formed DMSI, he hired renowned experts from all levels, from key management to field personnel, bringing extensive experience and teamwork to the company.

Currently, David’s children, David Jr. and Richard are 4th generation contractors with roots in the industry dating back to the 1950s, and they continue to pursue the family legacy by constructing tomorrow’s infrastructure with quality workmanship, safe practices, precise attention to client’s interests, professionalism and integrity.

The DMSI Team, a partnership with municipalities and engineering firms, brings unmatched resources, industry expertise, and innovative solutions. With a strong local presence in South Florida and a proven track record in pump station and pipeline projects, our team ensures comprehensive services and seamless execution from planning through delivery.

DMSI has successfully designed and built some of the most complex pipeline projects in South Florida—more than any other team in the region. With a bonding capacity exceeding $200 million and a portfolio of over $150 million in design-build contracts, DMSI consistently delivers projects on time and within budget.

1950s

1st Generation

Charlie D’Agostini and his brothers founded Northwest Construction in Detroit, specializing in underground utility and tunneling construction, within the Detroit, Michigan area.

2nd Generation

Charlie D’Agostini daughter Gilda, married Richard Manicni. With mentoring from Charlie D’Agostini Richard Mancini founded Ric-Man Construction, expanding underground utility and excavation services across Michigan.

1958-1965

1981–1983

3rd Generation

Ric-Man expanded into Florida, where David Mancini joined the family business as a laborer and, with his father Richard, co-founded Ric-Man International, Inc., focused on underground utility and excavation in South Florida.

4th Generation

David Mancini, together with sons David Jr. and Richard, established David Mancini & Sons, Inc. (DMSI). More than 70% of the experienced workforce from Ric-Man International joined the new company, forming the foundation of today’s highly skilled 80-plus person team.
