Indian Creek Drainage Improvements Project
The Indian Creek Drainage Improvements Project showcases David Mancini & Sons, Inc. (DMSI)’s ability to execute large-scale drainage and flood mitigation infrastructure in dense, environmentally sensitive urban corridors.
This project involved the installation of approximately 2,400 linear feet of 72-inch drainage pipe along Indian Creek Drive, spanning from 25th Street to 32nd Street. As part of a comprehensive stormwater enhancement initiative, DMSI constructed four eco vaults, a junction box, a grate box, a wet well, and multiple outfall structures to support a new stormwater pump station.
To improve flood resilience, DMSI raised the existing roadway grades from 26th to 28th Street, ensuring harmonization with surrounding properties and driveways. The project also included installation of multiple side drainage lines ranging from 15-inch to 36-inch HDPE pipe, improving stormwater collection along adjacent streets and connecting systems.
This critical infrastructure project was delivered under a Designated Funded Agreement (DFA) between the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and the City of Miami Beach, and executed through the National Joint Powers Alliance (NJPA) contract to accelerate delivery and minimize community impact.
The objectives are to streamline processes, maximize resource utilization, and deliver measurable outcomes that create long-term value. By leveraging our technical skills, proven experience, and commitment to excellence, we aim to not only meet but exceed expectations. Communication and transparency will remain at the core of the project, fostering trust and alignment at every step.
Ultimately, this project represents an opportunity to showcase our capabilities while building a foundation for sustained success and future growth.
- 2,400 linear feet of 72-inch drainage pipe installed along Indian Creek Drive between 25th and 32nd Streets.
- Construction of eco vaults, wet wells, junction boxes, and outfall structures supporting a new stormwater pump station.
- Roadway elevation improvements from 26th to 28th Street to enhance flood protection and ensure seamless property transitions.
- DFA partnership between FDOT and the City of Miami Beach, utilizing NJPA procurement to expedite work and maintain project continuity.
This project demonstrates DMSI’s expertise in urban drainage system construction and flood control engineering. Through close collaboration with FDOT and the City of Miami Beach, DMSI successfully delivered a robust, future-ready drainage system that enhances community safety, protects property, and improves stormwater management for one of South Florida’s most flood-prone corridors.
